John Marler

John Marler serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Set Solutions. Prior to being named CEO in 2017, John served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales. During his tenure, the company has matured into a superregional cybersecurity solution provider and integrator focused on delivering successful cyber solutions for the largest organizations in the world. John’s business-technical leadership is backstopped by years of IT experience in large corporations, pre-IPO cyber startups and technology sales.

Dan Broussard

Dan Broussard is Executive Vice President of Sales for Set Solutions. He is a veteran of cybersecurity sales, with over 25 years sales and sales leadership experience. Dan leads the Set Solutions sales organization with a customer centric approach, while providing high value security solutions to our customers. Prior to joining Set Solutions Dan was a Vice President at Proofpoint and Sr Director at Websense. He joined the Set Solutions management team in 2017.

Michael Farnum

Michael Farnum has been in the IT and Information Security fields since 1994. During this time, Farnum has held roles such as Independent Security Consultant, LAN/WAN Administrator, Network Security Engineer, Pre-Sales Security Engineer, Security Solutions Manager, Information Security Manager, and others. Michael is the Founder and Organizer of HouSecCon, THE Houston Security Conference, and has also been a prolific information security blogger and podcaster during his career. These extracurricular roles have led to great connections and friendships with many really smart security professionals. Prior to his career in IT and security, Farnum was in the US Army and drove an M1A1 main battle tank in Desert Shield and Storm. Farnum tries to use all of these experiences to create a unique perspective on whatever issue he is trying to tackle.

Jonathan Townsend

Jonathan Townsend joined Set Solutions as Vice President of Engineering in 2019 with over 15 years of experience in IT and OT security. Jonathan started his career as a developer working in statistical modeling, synthetic data generation, and cryptography. Since his time as a developer, he has built security programs for fortune 500 companies, developed and grew security consulting practices, and assisted in security product rationalization and automation for some of the largest companies in the world. Jonathan is focused on ensuring high levels of consulting delivery across infrastructure security, compliance, penetration testing, data analytics, and cloud security for Set Solution’s partners and clients.

Lance Grover

Lance E. Grover is the Vice President of Operations at Set Solutions, Inc., a cybersecurity systems integrator and solutions provider. Lance has held several positions over his professional career ranging from security engineering for a global print manufacturing company, to consulting and architecting on enterprise security and emerging technologies for many US-based organizations. He has worked as a delivery team member on large enterprise engagements that include security assessments, network migrations, advanced endpoint evaluation and testing, Cloud readiness, and assisted proof-of-concepts across several operational security domains. Lance holds his BBA in Finance and his MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.

Jeff Patton

Jeff Patton is the Sales Director for Set Solutions North Texas Region.  He is a well-known veteran of over 25 years in Cybersecurity and 30 years in Information Technology.  Prior to joining Set in 2019, Jeff held leadership positions with Global and National VARs such Accuvant, Forsythe, and Carousel Industries.  Jeff is an Air Force veteran and served as an Intelligence Analyst from 1983 – 1989.

James Hynes

James Hynes serves as the Director of Solutions Architecture – North for Set Solutions.  With almost 25 years of experience in IT across multiple sectors, James brings a unique perspective from the client, manufacturing, and the solution provider sides.  He focuses on helping clients build strategic plans and then to tactically execute those plans. In addition to being a seasoned practitioner, James has built and lead teams focusing on vulnerability management, incident response, application security, penetration testing, and more.  James holds several certifications including the CISSP and PMP.  He is a graduate of Texas A&M, College Station and a veteran of The Texas Army National Guard.

Candice Torres

Candice Torres is the Director of Sales Operations for Set Solutions and oversees all business activities and processes that help the sales organization run effectively and efficiently. She has over 15 years of Inside Sales/Sales Support experience with various IT resellers, and has been with Set Solutions since 2010.

Shera Southerland

Shera joined Set Solutions as Director of Talent Acquisition in 2019 after several years of helping Set grow through a third-party staffing company. She has over nine years of experience in HR and Talent Acquisition and has built and led multiple successful teams. Over the last several years Shera has focused on helping Vendors, Resellers, and Enterprise clients grow by filling positions across a broad spectrum of technical and non-technical roles. She is passionate about building relationships and spreading positive brand awareness. Shera partners with Set’s stakeholders and clients to leverage her experience, diligence, and unmatched resources to solve even the most challenging business problems surrounding finding talent in a competitive market.

Lauren Lynch

Shauna Kaczmarczyk

Shauna Kaczmarczyk joined the Set Solutions team in 2017.  Leveraging her background in process development and improvement, along with project management, she has helped establish and grow the Project Management Office and Professional Services delivery operations. In her role as the Director of Services Operations, her primary focus is to ensure successful delivery of service engagements and maintain Client satisfaction and confidence with Set Solutions’ Professional Services through management of the PMO, resource coordination and scheduling, oversight of project delivery, budget management, and services metrics tracking.

Brandt Varni

Brandt Varni is the Director of Practice Management at Set Solutions, Inc. and has been with the company since 2018. Brandt has over 5 years of experience providing professional services for enterprise customers related to Security Analytics. During his career he has worked closely with global enterprise security teams to architect scalable analytics systems, design related standards and procedures, and implement solutions to provide comprehensive visibility.  Brandt presented at the global Splunk conference in 2017 on integrating threat intelligence into Splunk for security analytics. In his current role, Brandt manages the strategic relationships with our top data analytics partners and manages the development of the Set Solutions RAISE applications.

Chuck Brown

Chuck Brown joined Set Solutions in 2019 and is the Service Delivery Manager for the Data Analytics Practice. Chuck oversees the team and ensures successful resourcing and delivery of Data Analytics services by striving to balance the needs of the client, consultant, and company. He is a seasoned technologist with over 25 years in IT and over 5 years in consulting roles. Over his career, Chuck has held contributor and leadership roles in the Healthcare, Telecommunications, Retail, and Financial sectors. He is also a Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect who enjoys attending his local Splunk User Group meetings. Outside of work, Chuck has a passion for cycling of all types and is an active member of his city’s Bicycle Advisory Committee.

Jon Allen

Jon Allen joined Set Solutions in 2020 as the Service Delivery Manager for the Infrastructure Security Practice.  Jon has over 25 years of experience in IT, starting with PC’s, printers and servers, leading up to roles as a consultant for networking and security for the past 8 years.  Over his career Jon has worked in many sectors of business including Telecommunications, Healthcare, Financial, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas.  Jon leads his team with a customer focus, always striving to ensure the successful deliver of every engagement.  During the 1980’s and 90’s, Jon served in the United States Navy Submarine Force as a Submarine Sonar Technician on board the USS Miami SSN-755, and as an Instructor at the Naval Submarine School in New London, CT.
